Judging by the flood of back-to-school promotions and supply donation campaigns, the start of a new academic year is fast approaching.
It may be hard to believe, but some San Joaquin County students are heading back to class in just one week.
Lodi Unified School District students will kick off the 2025-26 school year on July 29, making them the first to return. Stockton Unified School District students follow closely behind, starting July 31.
Here are the back-to-school dates for all 14 San Joaquin County public school districts and the 154,000 students they serve. Dates for the county’s higher education institutions are also included.
