Topps is making a comeback in the NFL, officially becoming the exclusive trading card partner of the league earlier this month. To let the world know, Topps enlisted Matthew Stafford, the reigning league MVP.
In a new ad, Stafford goes “undercover” at a card shop to see what all the hubbub is about. And by “undercover,” he literally just puts on sunglasses and turns his backwards hat forward.
Stafford finds out that his Aunt Amy is trading in a stack of his cards, the ultimate show of betrayal. Thankfully, she’s just trading them in for this year’s Chrome card, which the Rams QB is OK with. Phew.
Stafford might not go Hollywood like Aaron Donald wants to, but he’s got some acting chops.
