Trojans' 2026 football roster looks ready to contend in Big Ten

College football recently has run through the Big Ten. Indiana rising to the surface and taking care of the best teams in the college football playoff was another example of that. The Big Ten has Oregon, Ohio State, and Indiana sitting at the top, but now USC is looking like it is ready to enter that conversation.

In a recent tweet highlighting an interview with Lincoln Riley on the Jim Rome podcast, Lincoln Riley expressed how confident he is in this year’s team. Here is what Riley had to say:

“This will be the most complete roster we’ve had here at USC.”

Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans welcomed the #1 recruiting class in the country this past offseason, and already this team is looking as good as it has in recent years. Young players, like Luke Waffle, have been dominating in spring ball, and there is loads of talent on both sides of the ball. ‘

Even with losing many key players to the NFL draft, the Trojans appear primed to have their best season yet to date in the Lincoln Riley era. The roster being elite, coupled with this coaching staff being elite for USC, with the addition of Gary Patterson, makes for a lot of excitement heading into the 2026 season. In a year where the expectations are higher and there is more pressure, USC is ready to answer the bell.
