A four-vehicle traffic collision injured three people in Palm Springs on Thursday, May 7.
Palm Springs police spokesperson Capt. Gustavo Araiza said officers were notified about a crash on Sunrise Way, south of Tamarisk Road, around 2 p.m. Two of the victims had moderate injuries and one had minor injuries, he said.
A Desert Sun staffer driving by the scene reported Sunrise Way was closed between Tamarisk Road and Tachevah Drive. Araiza added that traffic was also impacted on Sunrise Way between Tamarisk and Alejo roads.
But he said at about 3 p.m. that the road closure should be cleared shortly as tow trucks were already at the scene. Police didn’t suspect that driving under the influence contributed to the crash.
