Readers voted Golden West boys basketball player Jayden Najera as the Visalia Times-Delta Tulare County high school athlete of the week.
In an online poll that closed on Dec. 12, Najera received 1,343 votes, or a 55.38% majority, of the 2,425 responses.
Najera finished with a team-best 17 points to anchor the Trailblazers to a 57-44 win versus Strathmore.

All high school varsity players from Tulare County can be on the ballot. Nominations must be received by Monday morning following that week’s games for consideration.
