Steve Kerr addressed the media once again Friday, after signing a two-year deal to remain as Golden State’s head coach.
While Kerr was choosing between coaching, retirement or a possible broadcasting deal, he received a message from his wife that stuck with him throughout his decision-making process.
“You might coach again someday, but you’ll never coach the Warriors again.”
Having spent 12 seasons as Golden State’s head coach, earning four championship titles, Kerr realized the job was something he wasn’t ready to walk away from quite yet.
For that reason, he took his wife’s advice and committed to the franchise for another two seasons.
