The California Department of Transportation says its workers plan on an overnight one-way alternating traffic control on State Route 118, where the road is also called Los Angeles Avenue, between Sand Canyon Road and Balcom Canyon Road near Somis the week of Feb. 23 for slope repair and drainage installation.
One-way traffic control is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekday nights between Feb. 23 to Feb. 27, according to a department news release.
Daytime construction may be underway behind K-rails on the south shoulder of Los Angeles Avenue from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. without lane closures.
Caltrans has several long-term projects in Ventura County and the State Route 118 slope repair project on Los Angeles Avenue is one of them.
