Spring Fire prompts evacuation warnings in Trinity County

Crews were battling a fire in Trinity County that has prompted evacuation warnings on Monday morning, June 22.

The Spring Fire was burning in the area of Democrat Gulch Road and had burned about an acre. There were structures involved, according to emergency dispatch reports.

The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office has issued evacuation warnings for three zones, WVR-212, WVR-221 and WVR 222, according to Watch Duty, which tracks fires and emergency response.

The temperature was around 80 degrees with little wind in Weaverville on Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
