After losing to Northwestern last week, an 0-12 season is becoming to look like a reality for the UCLA Bruins this season. The Bruins have eight more Big Ten Conference games and will likely enter all eight as underdogs but could the once-proud UCLA program really stomach a winless season?
The Bruins have already fired their head coach, parted with two coordinators, and will likely fire UCLA Athletic Director Martin Jarmond over the course of the next few months. UCLA’s football program is in need of a deep reset, but it might come following a winless season. The Southern California Football Roundtable discussed if UCLA would manage to get a win this season.

What’s sad here is how certain this feels. Maryland at home and Michigan State away are the only two games in which UCLA might have a chance. Yet, Maryland won at Wisconsin by 17 and Michigan State gave USC a competitive game on the road. It’s really hard to see the Bruins winning any game this year. One of the few things that could help the USC fan base get through yet another disappointing season would be watching the school across town go 0-12—a possibility that continues to grow in likelihood each week. The Trojans may have four or five losses by that point, but if UCLA shows up to the Coliseum on November 29 one loss away from a winless campaign, you can bet that USC will be a bit extra fired up for that one.

Yes, this is not only the worst team in the Big Ten but maybe all of FBS. This team has also lost any bit of mojo they had for their season. All their best players are already planning on which team they are going to transfer to.

It’s definitely trending that way. With a difficult schedule ahead and dysfunction surrounding every aspect of the team, it’s difficult to see them win any of their upcoming games.

Sure does seem like it. UCLA had a pretty easy schedule to begin the season but they sure did make it look hard. Anything could happen on any given day but it seems improbable that a team who lost to New Mexico and Northwestern will suddenly be able to defeat Michigan State or Maryland, with those teams still playing for something this season. Not only do I think UCLA football will go 0-12, I think UCLA football deserves to go 0-12.
