North Hills man arrested on suspected drug trafficking in Thousand Oaks area

A 24-year-old man from North Hills in the San Fernando Valley is being held in Ventura County jail on alleged felony possession and sale of controlled substances and has pleaded not guilty, according to authorities.

Between December and January, detectives in Thousand Oaks initiated an investigation into drug trafficking organizations in the city and identified the 24-year-old man who police allege was selling narcotics, according to a Ventura County Sheriff’s Office news release. The sheriff’s office provides police services for the city of Thousand Oaks.

On Jan. 28, detectives arrested the man and served a search warrant at his home in North Hills, the release says. About $11,000 in cash, cocaine and around 300 illicit pills that had tablets containing methamphetamine and Xanax were found at the home, it says.

The man has been arrested on felony offenses including conspiracy to commit a crime and possessing and selling controlled substances, court records show.

The man is being held in Ventura County jail with a bail set at $500,0000, jail records say. He has pleaded not guilty on Jan. 30 and has a bail review hearing at the Ventura County Superior Court on Feb. 3, court records show.
