Rams' Matthew Stafford passes Hall of Famer on NFL's all-time passing yards list

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford entered their Week 6 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday with 61,312 career passing yards, the 10th-most in NFL history.

However, after throwing for 181 yards against Baltimore, Stafford has passed Dan Marino (61,361) to move into ninth all-time.

Marino was incredible in his 17-year career with the Miami Dolphins that eventually landed him in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He won NFL MVP once and made nine Pro Bowls and six All-Pro teams. He also led the league in passing yards five times, something Stafford has yet to do in his impressive career.

It’s obviously a much different game now, but Stafford’s accomplishments are deserving of respect as well, and if he keeps up his current pace, he could move all the way up to sixth by the end of the year.
