Detectives are investigating a “suspicious” death in a remote area Desert Hot Springs after finding a woman’s body over the weekend, the city police department said on Monday, March 16.
Police responded to Mission Creek and Worsley roads for a report of a possible death around 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 15. They found an adult woman dead at the scene, according to a press release that didn’t give any details about her age or identity.
The woman was found in an area of largely open desert in the northwestern part of the city, just east of State Route 62.
The police department said detectives assumed the investigation “due to the circumstances,” which it did not specify.
