PFF's list shows how much talent Rams could lose in 2027

The Los Angeles Rams have one of the NFL’s best rosters, but there’s a looming issue that awaits the team after the season. There are a plethora of players who are set to be free agents in March, and even if the team wins the Super Bowl, the desires of others might prompt them to force the Rams to make tough financial decisions.

Exemplifying the issue, Pro Football Focus ranked Puka Nacua (first), Kevin Dotson (second), Davante Adams (seventh), and Byron Young (ninth) as four of the top 10 highest-graded players entering contract years.

Nacua and Young have been incredible as part of the 2023 draft class that features Kobie Turner, Steve Avila, and others. Nacua helped the Rams transition away from Cooper Kupp, while quickly becoming one of the NFL’s best players. Young served as the perfect replacement for Leonard Floyd, earning his first Pro Bowl honor in 2025. He also led the team in sacks.

Dotson has been the team’s best offensive lineman since arriving via trade in 2023. He signed a three-year extension following his breakout season in 2023, establishing himself as one of the league’s most respected guards. Adams signed a two-year deal last offseason, leading the NFL in receiving touchdowns. It was the third time Adams has done so, and he’s the first player to do so for three separate teams.

When the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl, they lost several pieces of their championship defense in free agency, and the victory drove up the price tag of their free agents beyond what Seattle’s cap could afford. The Rams could face a similar dilemma in 2027.
