The Warriors are still looking to fill out their roster ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season, with three roster spots remaining. Of the three remaining spots, two are standard and one is a two-way slot.
Previously, Golden State had been linked to both Georges Niang and Kelly Olynyk to fill one of those spots. NBA insider Marc Stein corroborated the Warriors’ interest in Niang Wednesday morning, but made no mention of Olynyk, who took an offseason trip with his latest team, the San Antonio Spurs. Stein also re-iterated that Golden State is interested in Brandon Williams, a recent Dallas Mavericks guard who had been linked to the Warriors at the very beginning of free agency.
In addition to Stein’s reports, he also noted that his colleague, NBA insider Jake Fischer, indicated that former Chicago Bulls guard Dalen Terry could be an option. Of these three, Williams would be the superior choice, having averaged 13 points, 3.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 22 minutes last season, despite his 3-point shooting struggles.
