Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett is already ingratiating himself with the city he now represents. It was announced that on Friday, June 6, Garrett will throw out the honorary first pitch for the two-time defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers are set to take on the Los Angeles Angels in the contest.
Garrett has spoken about the prospect of living in Los Angeles full-time, mentioning his father and girlfriend while discussing the team and the city.
“I definitely recall watching film of the Fearsome Foursome, Deacon Jones,” Garrett said this week. “Actually grew up watching that in high school. Once I started really watching and playing the game, and so definitely very aware. As far as my ties to the city. My dad’s from LA, so that’s an obvious tie, Chloe, her being from here, and us being the same city, is obviously something that I love and appreciate, and everything else, it’s really just looking forward to the future, looking to plant my own roots and see what comes of this.”
Garrett’s girlfriend is U.S. Olympian Chloe Kim. Kim is a gold medalist snowboarder and a native of Southern California.
