Motorcyclist dies in Camarillo crash

A motorcyclist died after crashing in Camarillo on Aug. 10.

Deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6000 block of Santa Rosa Road around 7:35 p.m. after receiving a call that a motorcycle had crashed, said Capt. Mike McConville. The city of Camarillo contracts its police services with the sheriff’s office.

Deputies found a man lying in the center divider of the road and administered aid until paramedics could arrive, he said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after, the captain said. The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.
