A man and woman were carjacked by a knife-wielding attacker along Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley over the weekend, authorities said.
Deputies responded just before 5 p.m. Sunday, June 14, to a commercial area in the 21600 block of Bear Valley Road, just west of Navajo Road, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“An unknown suspect approached two victims and demanded the keys to their vehicle,” agency spokeswoman Taylor Reynolds said. He was carrying a knife in his hand.
The victims complied and the man drove off in their vehicle, which was later found abandoned on Beaumont, according to Reynolds.
“The investigation remains ongoing, and investigators are working to identify and locate the suspect,” she added. No injuries were reported.
No further details, including a suspect description, were available.
