After trading for the rights to Cameron Carr, a Baylor University guard who was taken with the No. 24 pick in the NBA draft, and signing a few undrafted free agents, including Syracuse University big man William Kyle III, the Los Angeles Lakers continued to add more undrafted free agents.
They signed Robert McCray V, a guard who spent this past season with Florida State University, to an Exhibit 10 deal as an undrafted free agent. He transferred to Florida State University a year ago after playing two seasons at Jacksonville University, and during the 2025-26 campaign, he averaged 16.3 points and 6.1 assists a game.
He gained All-ACC honors this past season, and during the prior two seasons, he earned All-ASUN (Atlantic Sun Conference) honors while at Jacksonville University.
Los Angeles also brought in Jacari White, a 6-foot-3 guard who transferred from North Dakota State University to the University of Virginia a year ago, on a summer league deal.
During the 2024-25 season, White averaged 17.1 points a game. This past season after transferring, his playing time went down, and his scoring average dropped to 9.4 points per game. But he is a 3-point shooting threat who made 41.3% of his 5.1 3-point attempts a contest during his four years of college basketball.
