Lakers jersey history No. 11 — Davon Reed

Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

As the Lakers embark on their 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

Midway through the 2022-23 season, the Lakers participated in a four-team trade in which they sent out guard Patrick Beverley and big man Thomas Bryant. In return, they received center Mo Bamba, two second-round draft picks and guard Davon Reed. Reed had spent the past season and a half with the Denver Nuggets, following short stints with the Phoenix Suns and Indiana Pacers a few years prior.

He appeared in eight games with Los Angeles during the 2022-23 campaign and had a total of eight points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 27 minutes of playing time. Afterward, Reed spent time with the Memphis Hustle of the G League, as well as Prometey of the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League and the Mexico City Capitanes, a pro basketball team in Mexico.
