On Wednesday, it was revealed that edge defender Khalil Mack is expected to be out for “a few weeks” after dislocating his left elbow. The injury is not considered season-ending, and he is likely to return to the lineup later this fall.
Mack sustained the injury late in the first quarter of the Chargers’ victory over the Raiders this past Monday night. His arm appeared to bend awkwardly in a collision with linebacker Troy Dye while attempting a tackle, and he was later seen on the sideline with his elbow heavily wrapped in a sling.

It remains to be seen how many games Mack will miss, but it’s encouraging to know the injury is not season-ending.
While Mack is sidelined, Tuli Tuipulotu will serve as the top edge defender, with Bud Dupree likely to start opposite him and Caleb Murphy and Kyle Kennard as rotational pieces.
The Chargers could also explore the free agency market or look for potential trade options around the league.
