Apple Valley Fire officials told the Daily Press the incident is still under investigation.

A tour of the cul-de-sac property revealed three to four apartment buildings either damaged or destroyed in the fire.

As firefighters mopped up the final remnants of the flames, some residents were seen looking into one damaged building, with first responders warning them not to enter.

One unidentified woman stood near her family as she told fire officials, “Everything that I have was inside that building.”

A family with a small dog was seen placing their belongings in a vehicle before driving away.

The Red Cross, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and local utility companies also responded to the incident.
