Renowned rock band Journey will bring its “Final Frontier Tour” to Stockton in September.
The rock band is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Adventist Health Arena at 248 W. Fremont St., in downtown Stockton. Stockton’s concert will be the fourth stop in the North America 40 dates tour. It is kicking off on Sept. 12 in Los Angeles and ending Nov. 28 at home in San Francisco.
“The energy has been incredible every night,” said Neal Schon, founder of Journey, lead guitarist and songwriter, in a news release. “We’re excited to bring The Final Frontier Tour to even more cities this fall.”
According to the Journey website, Schon founded the band in 1972. He has been the only consistent member who has participated in every album and tour to date. At the age of 15 years old, Schon was a member of Santana. He has also performed with multiple acts such as Bad English, Jan Hammer and HSAS.
The other two members of the rock band are Arnel Pineda, on lead vocals and Jonathan Cain on keys and songwriting.
“Following a successful national tour run filled with sold-out arenas and fan-favorite hits, Journey announced 40 additional North American dates this fall, including a stop in Stockton,” a Stockton Live news release states. “Fans can expect an unforgettable night featuring iconic songs including “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Faithfully,” “Any Way You Want It,” and “Lights.”
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the concert on Thursday, Sept. 17, according to axs.com.
Tickets start at $43.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 15, a news release states. Tickets can be purchased via axs.com or at the Adventist Health Arena Box Office, on the North Side of the building.
