A man died after he was found inside a burning, overturned car in a residential neighborhood in Hesperia on Wednesday night, authorities said.
The deadly solo-vehicle wreck was reported just after 8:45 p.m. May 6 at Olive Street and Pinon Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies and firefighters were first dispatched to what was reported as a vehicle on fire, agency spokeswoman Lyndsi Garrett said.
“Deputies arrived on scene and located a single vehicle on fire and on its side,”she said. “The occupant, a male 27-year-old resident of Hesperia, was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The victim’s identity was yet to be released by coroner’s officials.
Further details regarding the circumstances of the crash were not available as the investigation continued.
