Ten Ventura County school districts usher in their back-to-school season the week of Aug. 17.
Ventura County is home to 19 school districts and the Ventura County Office of Education, which also operates several specialty schools. The region is also home to three community colleges, two private colleges and one state university.
By the end of the week, nearly all of the county’s students will have started the school year.
California Lutheran University and CSU Channel Islands begin their fall semesters Aug. 24.
Parents, neighbors and commuters will experience the effects of the return to school as traffic grows across the region. Mark your calendars with this list of starting dates for every public school district in Ventura County.
