Golden State Warriors 2025-26 player grades: Draymond Green

A former second-round selection in the 2012 NBA Draft, Draymond Green entered the 2025-26 campaign in his 14th season with the Warriors. Green averaged 27.5 minutes per game and suited up for 68 contests, the same amount as last season.

All 68 of those appearances were starts, as Green averaged 8.4 points per game to go along with 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks. Green’s shooting efficiency stayed near the same from a season prior; however, his decline defensively was notable. Although the former Michigan State Spartan put together an incredible defensive performance against the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA Play-In Tournament, Green’s blocks and steals per game totals were the lowest since his rookie season. For that reason, Green fell just short of an All-Defensive team, earning an 11th-place finish in Defensive Player of the Year Award voting. Looking ahead to this summer, Green has a one-year player option remaining on his current contract. That said, he’s been rumored to opt out in order to reach an agreement on a long-term deal instead.
