A magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck on Tuesday, nearly 2 miles south of Banning in Riverside County.
The earthquake occurred just before 11 a.m. and south of Interstate 10, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was felt mainly in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
When it comes to earthquakes in the Inland Empire, things have been relatively quiet after a series of quakes rocked the Indio Hills area, north of I-10.
