Draymond Green changes tune, expects Kerr to return for 2026-27 season

Draymond Green recently caught up with the media this week, more specifically NBA journalist Marc Spears.

Green was asked by Spears about Steve Kerr and the chance that he could return to coach for the 2026-27 season. Although Green originally said that he thought Kerr would depart, he seems to have changed his tune.

According to Spears, Draymond Green said that “Steve Kerr wants to coach, and he expects him to come back.”

Although Kerr has been meeting with Golden State’s front office, the two sides have not yet decided if the 12-year head coach will come back.

However, given the buzz around the league, it now seems more and more likely that Kerr will return.
