Did your county pass Prop 50 or reject it? See election results by county

Early results show how each county voted on Proposition 50, the partisan redistricting measure forecasted to win and called by several news outlets moments after polls closed at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Prop 50 won in a landslide in counties like San Francisco and Los Angeles, likely unsurprising given its large base of Democrat voters. But in counties like Fresno and Inyo, Prop 50 proved to be an especially tight race — and perhaps rightfully so, considering how the new district maps shape these areas.

The state will use these new maps for congressional elections starting next year. Proposition 50 maps will be in place until the California Citizens Redistricting Commission, which is responsible for the current maps, draws new ones after the 2030 U.S. Census.

Here’s a look at which counties backed Prop 50, and which rejected the partisan redistricting, according to the California Secretary of State. Please note that vote-by-mail ballots and provisional ballots will continue to be processed after November 4, and official, certified election results will be posted by December 12, according to the California Secretary of State.
