A man was killed after being struck in a hit-and-run crash on Santa Rosa Road outside Camarillo June 7.
The California Highway Patrol in Moorpark said officers received an initial call at 10:52 p.m. about a man wearing all black in the middle of the road. A few minutes later, the CHP received another call that the man had been struck, said Sgt. Sam Clarkson.
He said that as far as their officers know no one else was injured in the crash near Gerry Road in the Santa Rosa Valley.
As of 9 a.m. June 8, Clarkson did not have any additional information on the vehicle involved but officers were working to find more details.
Anyone who might have information on the crash is asked to call CHP in Moorpark at 805-553-0800 and ask for Officer Alex Salazar.
