The Chargers’ scoring continued as undrafted rookie running back Raheim Sanders rushed for an 11-yard touchdown.

Eric Rogers puts the game on ice
Eric Rogers, the undrafted rookie cornerback out of Rutgers, continued his outstanding performance by picking off quarterback Jake Haener on a pass intended for wide receiver Dante Pettis. It was Rogers’ second interception of the game.
Chargers go up again by double digits
After exchanging punts, the Chargers pulled further ahead as kicker Cameron Dicker’s 40-yard field goal attempt was good.

Saints cut the deficit
In response to his interception, quarterback Tyler Shough found wide receiver Mason Tipton wide open down the field for a 54-yard touchdown.

The Chargers and Saints exchanged three-and-outs to start the second half. New Orleans got the ball back, and undrafted rookie cornerback Eric Rogers intercepted quarterback Tyler Shough and returned it for a touchdown. Los Angeles attempted a two-point conversion and was successful.

Chargers extend their lead
The Chargers orchestrated a 14-play, 85-yard drive that resulted in a quarterback Trey Lance rushing touchdown. They went for two, but running back Raheim Sanders was met in the backfield.

After taking over in Saints territory, the Chargers quickly went three and out. Kicker Cameron Dicker connected from 44 yards out to give Los Angeles the first points of the game.

On the opening play of the second quarter, edge rusher Caleb Murphy beat the right tackle and forced a fumble on quarterback Spencer Rattler. Defensive tackle Justin Eboigbe recovered from the Saints’ 33-yard line.
Bends but doesn’t break
After running back Nyheim Miller-Hines fumbled the punt return, the Saints recovered and took over from the Chargers’ 17-yard line. Los Angeles’ red-zone defense stood tall, which ended in a linebacker Troy Dye run stuff on 4th-and-goal from the one-yard line for a turnover on downs.
