The Chargers re-signed linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips to a two-year, $7.5 million deal with a max value of up to $10.5 million with performance incentives.
Phillips became a key piece ofRyan Ficken’s special teams unit during his first year in Los Angeles. In 2025, he set a single-season franchise record with 24 special teams tackles, the second-highest mark in the NFL.
This performance earned him a Second-Team All-Pro selection, making him one of only two Chargers to receive All-Pro honors last season. Beyond special teams, the 29-year-old provided linebacker depth, amassing 37 total tackles and one sack in 17 games (one start).
Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Falcons out of the University of Illinois, Phillips played with the Bills, Jets, Ravens, and Texans before joining the Bolts.
