8 High Desert wrestlers capture CIF-SS individual titles

The High Desert saw 34 boys and girls wrestlers punch their tickets to the CIF-Southern Section Masters Meet with strong showings across four divisional tournaments, highlighted by eight individual champions and several runner-up finishes. 

The Masters Meet is scheduled for Feb. 20-21 at Sonora High School, with the top five boys and top eight girls placing in each weight class at the CIF-SS Individual Championships advancing.

Hesperia and Victor Valley each crowned three champions, while Sultana produced two title winners, brothers Cael and Jackson Humphrey, both becoming two-time divisional titlists.
