Although they were eliminated from the postseason with a loss in the play-in tournament, there’s still a way to root for the Golden State Warriors in the playoffs. As the NBA postseason heads into the second round, there is still a bit of Warriors representation on the court, fighting for the 2026 edition of the NBA championship. On three of the teams remaining in the playoffs, five former members of the Warriors will be on the court in the second round.
While only five former Golden State players will be suiting up in the postseason, a pair of notable assistant coaches from Steve Kerr’s staff will be leading their teams into the second round of the playoffs. Former Golden State assistants Kenny Atkinson (Cleveland) and Mike Brown (New York) will have a chance to punch tickets to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Only one series in the second round of the 2026 postseason won’t feature a notable former member of the Warriors. Neither the Lakers and Thunder have any former members of the Warriors on either roster. The Detroit Pistons are the only other team to have no Warriors representation on their bench.
