The Los Angeles Lakers are about to begin what could turn out to be a very consequential offseason. They’re projected to have tens of millions of dollars of salary cap space, as well as two future first-round draft picks to offer in a trade, and those resources could allow them to start to truly build a championship-caliber team around Luka Doncic.
Los Angeles will also have the No. 25 pick in this year’s draft. They have been working out prospects in this year’s draft class, including Skyy Clark, a point guard from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Clark is 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, and he averaged 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, two assists and 1.2 steals this past season. He spent two seasons with the Bruins after he was with the University of Illinois as a freshman and the University of Louisville the following year.
While he may not have the ability to become a major scoring threat at the next level, he displayed the ability to score efficiently from all three levels while at Westwood. He shot 46.9% overall and 42.7% from 3-point range during the 2025-26 campaign, and he has solid athleticism and a nice, strong frame that he uses to his advantage, especially when attacking the basket.
Clark, who is 22 years of age, grew up in the Southland but attended Montverde Academy in Florida. He has been described as more of a scoring point guard than a facilitating point guard, and he could end up being taken in the second round of the NBA draft.
