By The Port Huron Elks Lodge 343
The Port Huron Elks Lodge 343, 75th blood drive was held on Monday, July 21st as we continue to help us close the gap on blood shortages! We had (51) donors arrive to provide the ”Gift of Life” as we surpassed our goal of 40. (9) donors were deferred, (34) whole blood pints, and (4 Power reds = 8 pints) were collected, for a total of 42 total units. We had FIVE first time donors.
Working together, the Port Huron Elks Lodge 343, and the American Red Cross have collected over 2,599 units (pints) = 324 gallons of blood since our 1st drive on January 7, 2013. We are well on our way to reaching our next goal of 3,000 pints (375 gallons). Our 77th drive is scheduled for Monday, August 18th.
