COLDWATER, MI — With the city’s Four Corners Farmers Market back each Saturday until Sept. 12, there are some unique regular vendors to meet.
The Bread Brothers, Ethan Wulliman and Henry Koyl, bring freshly baked artisan loaves to the market each week.
Koyl’s mother suggested the simple yet delicious recipe using only flour, salt, water, and yeast.
Wulliman recalls, Koyl “called me up and said, ‘Hey, we can turn this into a business.’ Now we enjoy selling our bread at the farmers market, and it’s been a great experience.”
The two 15-year-old Coldwater High School friends bake several dozen loaves each week, selling them for $7 apiece.
Their profits go toward goals uncommon for most teens.
Wulliman is saving for college.
Koyl plans to start another business and invests in a Roth IRA.
Visit the Farmers Market at Four Corners Park each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to meet the Bread Brothers and other vendors.
This year, the market features even more produce across its 21 vendor locations in the northwest quadrant.
