It’s the biggest game of Week 2, with No. 13 Michigan football heading to Norman to face a resurgent Oklahoma team that’s ranked No. 23. It will be Wolverines quarterback Bryce Underwood’s second game, and his first road test, and the defense he’ll be going up against, coached by Sooners’ head coach Brent Venables, will be a massive step up from what Underwood saw in New Mexico in Week 1.
Conversely, John Mateer — the Washington State transfer for Oklahoma — hasn’t exactly thrived against Power Four defenses, and what he’ll see from Wink Martindale and company is a far cry from anything he’s played before. The Sooners also struggled against the Illinois State run last week. Will the maize and blue be able to upset OU by going back to the boa constrictor?
It’s the premier game of the week. You’re not gonna want to miss it.
