What's the new Skin Huis on River Avenue? We found out

A new aesthetics and wellness business has opened at 202 River Ave. in Holland, filling a storefront that was vacant for more than a year after the closure of Photo Images by Carl and the relocation of Bubs’ and Betty’s.

Skin Huis, owned by Rachael Jungling and Debbie DeGraff, was created to bring aesthetic care and functional wellness services to downtown Holland. The name reflects both the business’ mission and local roots. “Huis” means house in Dutch.

“We realized that feeling at home in your skin isn’t just about how you look, it’s also your internal health,” Jungling told The Sentinel. “We felt like, to truly give patients the comprehensive experience we hope to provide, we had to add that aspect.”

Jungling and DeGraff have assembled a team with more than 80 years of combined medical experience and 45 years focused on aesthetics. Skin Huis offers walk-in services and monthly membership packages, including the Huis Essential for $99 per month, the Huis Elevated for $150 and the Huis Elite for $275.

All memberships include discounts on services, monthly banked credits and the addition of a dermaplane or ultrasonic treatment with any facial. The business also offers medical-grade skincare products.

Superior Sport, which has a long history inside the building, continues to use the back third for engraving and behind-the-scenes work.
