The format is pretty simple: We’ll publish a list of the top individual football performances from the past week. From there, it’s up to you to determine which athlete is the Player of the Week.

Voting ends at noon on Friday.

Want to nominate a player for a future poll? Email Times Herald sports reporter Brenden Welper (bwelper@gannett.com) and let him know who stood out individually. Please submit entries by 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Below are the candidates for Week 1, listed alphabetically. Fraudulent votes will be deleted.

Dominic Bonnetti, Richmond, QB: Bonnetti threw four touchdown passes in the Blue Devils’ 49-19 win over St. Clair. He also ran for once score.
