Vote for the Blue Water Area Athlete of the Week for Sept. 8-13

PORT HURON — It’s time for the latest Blue Water Area Athlete of the Week poll. We need you to determine a winner.

Voting ends at noon on Friday, Sept. 19.

Last week’s winner was Imlay City boys soccer’s Benino Barragan, who finished with three goals and one assist in the Spartans’ 7-1 win over Armada on Sept. 3.

Listed below are this week’s candidates in alphabetical order. To vote, please use the poll at the bottom of this page.

Claire Albrecht — Armada girls cross country: At the BWAC Jamboree on Sept. 9, Albrecht won the girls race with a time of 20:54.08.

Ryu Her — Armada boys soccer: Her scored two goals in the Tigers’ 5-0 victory over Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port Laker on Sept. 11.

Samantha Langolf — Port Huron Northern girls cross country: At the MAC White Jamboree on Sept. 9, Langolf won the girls race with a time of 20:34.

Natalie Long — Sandusky volleyball: Long finished with four digs, one kill and 15 assists in the Wolves’ 3-2 triumph over Memphis on Sept. 11.

Brady VanConant — Yale boys cross country: At the BWAC Jamboree on Sept. 9, VanConant won the boys race with a time of 17:29.73.
