Tuscarora Township named a finalist for Put Your Town on the Map

Tuscarora Township is among 10 communities from across the state that will be competing this week in the final round of the Consumers Energy Foundation’s Put Your Town on the Map contest.

The finalists, and their projects, announced on Friday, May 29 include:

According to the Consumers Energy Foundation, the Put Your Town on the Map competition is open to communities of up to 10,000 residents who submit proposals for locally driven ideas and projects. Starting Monday, June 1, the finalists will present their ideas to a panel of judges during the Small Town and Rural Development Conference at Crystal Mountain. Three winners will ultimately be selected. Prizes include $25,000 in grant funding for first place, $15,000 for second place and $10,000 for third place.
