The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office announced the launch of a new initiative this week that is designed to connect local youth and first responders.
The Chippewa County Youth Outreach Fund has been established through the Chippewa County Community Foundation. According to the department’s announcement, the purpose of the fund is “to foster trust, learning and meaningful relationships within our community.”
The funding will go towards mentorship opportunities, hands-on activities, community projects and other events that allow first responders to connect with area youth in positive, everyday settings.
