Rome Seymour, the “Big Brother 28” houseguest who hails from Traverse City, could be packing his bags come Thursday night’s live eviction episode of the CBS reality series.
Seymour is nominated for eviction alongside two other houseguests, Melody Morris and Jason De Puy. All three will compete on Thursday’s episode in the BB Block Buster competition, where the winner will be removed from the threat of elimination. The remaining two will have their fate decided by a vote of their fellow houseguests.
During Wednesday’s episode, Seymour was “backdoored” by Head of Household Rick Devens, meaning he was targeted for elimination but not put on the chopping block. When Devens won the Power of Veto competition, giving him the power to remove one of the nominees from the block, he pulled down Lyric Medeiros and replaced her with Seymour.
Seymour and Medeiros have been in a high profile showmance inside the “Big Brother” house, which made them rife targets for elimination. In the two weeks since they’ve been in the “Big Brother” house, the pair is already exchanging “I love yous,” a fast track to romance even by “Big Brother” standards.
The 28-year-old professional pickleball coach currently resides in Delray Beach, Florida. He is a 2016 graduate of Traverse City Central High School who went on to play tennis at Ferris State University, according to the Traverse City Record Eagle. He moved to Connecticut after college and eventually made his way to the Sunshine State.
His back may be up against the wall, but he’s not going down without a fight.
“I’m the most competitive person I’ve ever met, and I never give up,” Seymour said in his “Big Brother” introduction video.
“Big Brother’s” live elimination episode airs at 8 p.m. Thursday on CBS.
