Michigan State football is the latest big-time program to extend an offer to an elite edge rusher from North Carolina.
Andrew Rogers of Greensboro, N.C. announced on Sunday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. The 2027 edge rusher prospect made the announcement via a post on his social media X account.

Rogers is listed at 6-foot-6 and 240 pounds, and plays for Dudley High. He recorded 76 tackles, including 23 sacks, and forced three fumbles this past season.
Rogers is a four-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 91.97 on 247Sports’ composite. He ranks as the No. 27 edge rusher and No. 232 overall in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2027 class. He is also the No. 9 player from North Carolina.
Michigan State is one of nearly 20 schools to offer Rogers, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, North Carolina, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Liberty and Troy.
