Senior shoppers 55 and up get a 5% discount at Kroger on Wednesday

The Kroger Co. of Michigan is offering a discount to a select group of shoppers this week for one day only.

On Wednesday, shoppers 55 and older can get an extra 5% discount on their entire purchase of food and household items.

Exclusions do apply to the discount, with items like alcohol, tobacco, fuel, gift cards, and prescriptions being excluded. Customers can check with the store for details.

To get the discount, shoppers need a Kroger loyalty card or an alternate ID.

“At Kroger, we’re proud to support our senior customers with meaningful ways to save,” said Cam Barrett, corporate affairs manager for the Kroger Co. of Michigan, in a news release. “From personalized digital deals to trusted everyday low prices, we’re always working to help customers stretch their dollars — and this special discount is one more way we’re doing just that.”
