Pride Month 2025 events set across Lansing in June

LANSING — The region’s biggest Pride Month celebration happens later this month in Old Town.

The LGBTQ+ community will celebrate its history, culture, and ongoing struggle for equality from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 28.

There will be vendors, food and beverages and events including a 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. “Free to Be Family Zone” at Copper Moon,1247 Center St.

Lansing Pride 2025’s featured guest is Adore Delano, an “iconic diva,” “powerhouse performer” and drag queen who has appeared on “American Idol” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

For $25, fans can have their picture taken with Delano at 1:30 p.m. at the Matthew Ryan Salon & Garden, 1410 Turner St., in a garden setting.

Other Pride Month events planned include:

June 3: The city of Lansing will raise the Pride Flag at City Hall, 124 W. Michigan Ave. at 4:30 p.m. The flag raising will mark the start of Pride Month 2025.

June 7: “Drag Me to Church: A Pride Month Celebration” will feature “dazzling drag, karaoke fun, and community celebration” at Central United Methodist Church, 215 N Capitol Ave. at 8 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults. Doors will open and karaoke will begin at 7 p.m.

June 10: Pride Night with the Lansing Lugnuts, when they will host a game against the West Michigan Whitecaps at their 505 E. Michigan Ave. stadium, begins at 7:05 p.m. “Come out and show your PRIDE as we are joined by GAAY Sports League, LanSING Out, Lansing Pride, Lansing Area AIDS Network, Suits and the City, The Salus Center and more,” an invitation reads.

June 14: East Lansing PRIDE will happen along Albert Avenue between Abbot Road and M.A.C. Avenue from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to the city’s website. An open floor drag show, live music, art activities, vendors, and more are planned.

June 21: There will be food trucks, live entertainment, vendors “and so much more,” in downtown St. Johns from noon to 4 p.m., according to the SJ Call-In Coalition.

June 22: A Mason Pride Picnic with food trucks, yard games, face painting, magic show, resource tables, community art and more will happen at Rayner Park, 738 E. Ash St., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
