Hillsdale will try to break through against a top-tier Clinton squad, and Camden-Frontier, North Adams-Jerome, and Litchfield all face pivotal conference matchups.
Schedule – Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
Key Storylines
Jonesville hosts Addison for homecoming
Jonesville (3-2) returns home after a tough loss to Hanover-Horton. The Comets sit just below the Division 7 playoff cut line with 27.6 points. Addison (0-5) has struggled defensively, giving Jonesville a chance to bounce back.
Battle for the Bell: Reading vs. Quincy
Reading (2-3) hosts Quincy (3-2) in a rivalry game with playoff implications. The Rangers hold the Bell trophy after a 30-18 win last year. Quincy started 4-0 but fell to Union City in Week 5. Reading sits at 24.2 points in Division 8, needing a win to stay in the hunt.
Hillsdale faces Clinton challenge
Hillsdale (0-5) showed offensive balance in a 29-18 loss to Dundee, but now faces Clinton (4-1), who ranks among the top teams in Division 6 with 47.8 points. Senior quarterback Evan Towne and Brody Arnold will need big performances to keep the Hornets competitive.
North Adams-Jerome and Litchfield battle for pride
Both teams enter Week 6 at 1-4 and are looking to rebound. Litchfield won last year’s matchup 26-22. The Rams will rely on senior Kaleb Hale’s leadership, who is fully back in a starting role at linebacker for the Rams defense. Litchfield will look to make big plays on defense to turn in easy points opportunities.
Players to Watch
Jonesville – Harper Griffiths
Griffiths had nine tackles in Week 5 and continues to be a defensive anchor. His presence will be key against Addison’s run game.
Hillsdale – Evan Towne
Towne totaled 258 yards and three touchdowns against Dundee. His dual-threat ability gives Hillsdale a fighting chance against LCAA title contender Clinton.
