New pizza place opens in Marysville with family and community focus

MARYSVILLE, MI — A new pizza spot has opened in Marysville, bringing house-made recipes, family roots and a personal story behind the address.

No Crumbs Pizza and More, 1319 Gratiot Blvd., held a soft opening April 2 before officially opening April 3.

The restaurant is owned by Thomas Enright of Kimball Township and Mark White of Kimball Township, with TJ MacDormott of Port Huron serving as manager. Enright previously owned The Pepper restaurant on 24th Street in Port Huron from 2019 to 2022.

The new pizza spot is still in its early days, with Enright describing the first week as steady.

“It’s going okay,” Enright said.

Mornings have been slower so far, he said, while dinner time brings the main rush.

The menu features a mix of specialty pizzas, grinders and other comfort food, with recipes developed by Enright. A key part of that is a house-made sauce that White said keeps customers coming back.

“They come for Tom’s sauce,” White said.

The restaurant has already found some early favorites, including its dill pickle pizza and grinders. Maria Watson, Enright’s mother, said the grinders in particular have been in high demand.

“I make a lot of them,” Watson said.

The business offers delivery within a 10-mile radius and is currently available on DoorDash. Grubhub ordering is not yet available due to technical issues, though owners said they hope to have it running soon. The restaurant is currently takeout only.

The Marysville location came together after a friend reached out on Facebook about the space. The owners visited, decided it was the right fit and began leasing in February, spending the following months preparing to open and building awareness.

A grand opening is planned for later this month once an exterior sign is installed.

The restaurant is also focused on giving back. Unsold food is donated every other day to Blue Water Area Rescue Mission, a local men’s homeless shelter.

Starting in May, the business will launch “Pizza with a Purpose,” a monthly specialty pizza with a portion of proceeds going to a nonprofit. The first specialty pizza will be a taco pizza, and MacDormott chose the first recipient, The Harbor, a 24-hour emergency youth shelter.

“They helped me out,” MacDormott said.

The owners said the effort is a way of “paying it forward.”

For Enright, the location carries personal meaning. He said the address — 1319 Gratiot Blvd. — matches the number of his father’s former home on Lapeer Street. His father, who died in 2020, was a major influence in his life, and seeing the same number stood out.

“It was meant to be,” Enright said.
