The Holland Christian Maroons defeated Holland 5-0 in an OK Black Conference matchup.

Cora Boerman scored three goals, while Addi Meiste and Izzy Lehr each added one. Lehr and Tessa Koeman each dished out two assists and Julie Miedema had one.

“Holland Christian was athletic and disciplined,” said Holland coach Greg Ceithaml. “We competed the best we could, but we could not keep up. We hope to have a strong practice and prepare for our (next) match.”

Meanwhile in Fennville, Saugatuck defeated the Blackhawks 3-1.

Neave Rewa scored on a penalty kick, then added what turned out to be the game-winner on assists from Avery Smith and Ellery Panepento. Smith added a penalty kick score late in the game.

Fennville’s Kimberley Mendoza-Huynh scored off an assist from Candela Ruiz.

“Saugatuck scored off two penalty kicks and a well-taken corner kick. Outside of that it was a 50-50 game and I thought the girls battled well,” Fennville coach Mark Gray said.
