NBA analyst names Jase Richardson the 'most underrated' player in the 2025 NBA Draft

While we have seen Michigan State basketball star freshman Jase Richardson slide in some recent mock drafts, one NBA analyst, Mat Issa from Forbes, thinks that Jase Richardson is the ‘most underrated’ player in the 2025 NBA Draft. In a recent article, Issa makes the case that Richardson is a potential two-way star in the NBA.

Also of note, Issa interviewed Richardson for the article, and Richardson, interestingly, said that he sees himself as a ‘lead guard.’

“Growing up, I was always a point guard. I think Michigan State was really the first year I started playing off the ball. I think I’m more of a lead guard in the NBA.”

That’s interesting, because one of the reasons Jase has fallen, presumably, is because of his 6-foot-2 size, which is considered too small for the shooting guard position in the NBA, even with his impressive wingspan. If teams see him as a point guard, he could end up going higher than expected.
